This module deals with the application and repair of coating systems of onshore and offshore wind turbines in accordance with approved industrial standards. Participants are taught to recognise, document and repair damage. This also includes the environmentally compatible handling of the materials used.

Determine coat thicknesses using standardised test methods and testing devices - -
Select suitable repair techniques, coating materials and personal protective equipment
Apply coating systems in accordance with manufacturer instructions

Prerequisites

G41 medical, Comfortable with heights, Basic knowledge of materials technology, Completed vocational training as painter or varnisher, Basic knowledge of wind turbine technology, RSC-WET-01, RSC-HSE-05
